Oh the brilliance of the Canadian winter! Especially looking out at the white from the warm quiet of our home.
Seems like a good time to establish this blog. I actually don't read many blogs and have only a faint idea of its future. Certainly, it will include interests and issues and insights (maybe) and ideas scattered over a broad reach. I've learned, over a 40 year career in academia that, too often such ambitions equate to a bully pulpit for raw assertion and blather. I hope to avoid that.
I'd like to thank both of my children, Ben and Laura, who have encouraged me to establish FishTales and hope that they will be frequent contributors.
